DESCRIPTION:Trans and Intersex Pride Dublin is back for our 6th annual Trans and Intersex Pride March! Join us on July 12th\, 2PM\, at City Hall to demand action on trans healthcare\, to demand an end to IGM\, to show solidarity with the trans community internationally\, and to say that we've come this far together\, WE'RE NOT GOING BACK!Internationally there has been a global attack in LGBTQ+ rights. Since being elected Donald Trump has made it his mission to attack the trans community\, with executive orders that have restricted gender affirming care\, and emboldening politicians to attack trans people with over 800 anti-trans bills introduced in states across the US. We have seen attacks on the trans community in countries such as the UK\, Hungary\, Argentina\, Spain\, Belgium\, and many more!In Ireland we have seen a step back in terms of trans rights. Ireland continues to have the worst trans healthcare in Europe\, Puberty blockers were banned in the North\, supported by all executive parties including Sinn Fein\, Alliance\, DUP\, and UUP\, and in the south the new right-wing programme for government has dropped commitments to introduce a model of care based on WPATH\, dropped legal recognition for non-binary people\, and dropped a commitment for public bodies to use correct pronouns. This year has been tough for the community internationally\, but that means we need to make this year's march the biggest Trans and Intersex Pride march ever! We need everyone out on July 12th to demand QUEER LIBERATION NOW! We are bring pride back to its radical roots of protest!\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Market Overview\n\nThe Pediatric Medicine Market focuses on the development\, manufacturing\, and distribution of medications specifically formulated for infants\, children\, and adolescents. Pediatric medicines differ from adult therapies in terms of dosage\, formulation\, and safety profiles\, ensuring they meet the unique physiological and developmental needs of young patients.\n\nThe market is growing steadily\, driven by the rising prevalence of pediatric diseases\, improved access to healthcare services\, and increased focus on child-specific clinical research. Government initiatives to promote pediatric drug approvals and the rising awareness of early diagnosis and treatment in children are further fueling the market’s growth.\n\nhttps://www.marketresearchfuture.com/reports/pediatric-medicine-market-19193\n\nKey Market Drivers\n\nIncreasing Prevalence of Pediatric Diseases\n\nThe growing incidence of chronic and infectious diseases among children\, including asthma\, diabetes\, epilepsy\, and respiratory infections\, is one of the major drivers of the pediatric medicine market. Additionally\, the increasing cases of rare genetic disorders are driving demand for specialized pediatric therapies.\n\nAdvancements in Pediatric Formulations\n\nThere is a rising focus on developing child-friendly formulations such as oral syrups\, dissolvable tablets\, and chewable medicines that ensure accurate dosing and improved patient compliance. Pharmaceutical companies are investing heavily in research to make medications more palatable and easier to administer to children.\n\nGrowing Pediatric Clinical Research\n\nPediatric drug development has historically lagged behind adult medicine. However\, regulatory authorities such as the FDA (U.S.) and EMA (Europe) are increasingly mandating pediatric clinical trials to ensure safety and efficacy\, which is accelerating product approvals and market expansion.\n\nRising Awareness and Healthcare Spending\n\nIncreasing parental awareness of pediatric health\, coupled with the expansion of healthcare access in both developed and emerging markets\, is supporting the steady growth of the pediatric medicine sector.\n\nMarket Segmentation\n\nBy Therapeutic Area\n\n- Infectious Diseases\n\n\n- Respiratory Disorders\n\n\n- Gastrointestinal Disorders\n\n\n- Central Nervous System Disorders\n\n\n- Cardiovascular Diseases\n\n\n- Oncology\n\n\n- Others\n\n\nBy Drug Type\n\n- Prescription Drugs\n\n\n- Over-the-Counter (OTC) Drugs\n\n\nBy Formulation\n\n- Tablets & Capsules\n\n\n- Syrups\n\n\n- Suspensions\n\n\n- Chewable Tablets\n\n\n- Topical Medications\n\n\n- Others\n\n\nBy Distribution Channel\n\n- Hospital Pharmacies\n\n\n- Retail Pharmacies\n\n\n- Online Pharmacies\n\n\nCompetitive Landscape\n\nThe Pediatric Medicine Market is competitive\, with both global pharmaceutical giants and specialized pediatric drug manufacturers focusing on product innovation and regulatory approvals.\n\nKey players include:\n\n- Pfizer Inc.\n\n\n- GlaxoSmithKline plc\n\n\n- Johnson & Johnson\n\n\n- Novartis AG\n\n\n- Sanofi S.A.\n\n\n- Cipla Ltd.\n\n\n- Abbott Laboratories\n\n\nThese companies are actively investing in clinical trials\, pediatric vaccine development\, and pediatric-specific formulations to strengthen their market positions.\n\nKey Trends Influencing the Market\n\n- Growth of Pediatric Vaccines: Increased focus on immunization programs is driving the demand for pediatric vaccines\, especially for diseases like rotavirus\, measles\, and pneumococcal infections.\n\n\n- Expansion of Personalized Pediatric Medicine: Advances in genomics and personalized therapies are creating opportunities for targeted pediatric treatments\, particularly in oncology and rare diseases.\n\n\n- Development of Orphan Pediatric Drugs: Rising attention to rare pediatric diseases is encouraging pharmaceutical companies to pursue orphan drug designations and niche markets.\n\n\n- Increased OTC Pediatric Medications: Parents are increasingly relying on OTC options for common ailments like fever\, colds\, and allergies\, driving growth in the consumer pediatric medicine segment.\n\n\nFuture Outlook\n\nThe Pediatric Medicine Market is expected to continue its positive growth trajectory\, driven by regulatory support\, increased investment in pediatric drug development\, and rising global awareness of children’s health needs. Future market dynamics will likely focus on:\n\n- Development of safer\, more effective formulations\n\n\n- Expansion of pediatric clinical trials\n\n\n- Focus on vaccines and rare disease treatments\n\n\n- Increased role of telemedicine and digital health platforms in pediatric care\n\n\nPharmaceutical companies that prioritize child-specific drug delivery systems\, invest in research for chronic pediatric diseases\, and embrace regulatory changes will be well-positioned to capture growth opportunities in this evolving sector.\n\n

DESCRIPTION:CATU\, Ireland’s tenants’ and community union announce all-island Housing demonstration for July 5th in Dublin City Centre.\n\nIreland’s tenants’ and housing union\, Community Action Tenants Union Ireland has today announced an All-Island Housing Demonstration on Saturday July 5th in Dublin City Centre in response to the rapidly escalating housing crisis in both the Republic and the North of Ireland.\n\nRepresenting thousands of members across the country\, CATU believes that the governments in power in both jurisdictions have demonstrated their inability and lack of commitment to addressing homelessness and housing inequality\, as exemplified by recent announcements to gut the tenant-in-situ scheme and end the limited forms of rent control in force in the Republic against the backdrop of record number of families living in emergency accommodation.\n\nA member of CATU’s National Committee states that: “Whether it’s being evicted from your home with a few weeks’ notice\, or seeing your children emigrate due to lack of affordable housing\, hardly anyone on this island has not been affected by the years of disastrous housing policy in Ireland. We are calling on everyone affected by this crisis to mobilise with us on July 5th in Dublin city centre to make it very clear to the government that enough is enough.”\n\nCATU is an all-island union and is calling on both the Dáil and Stormont to immediately implement a number of measures to protect people across the island from homelessness\, including the introduction and re-instatement of the eviction ban\; a commitment to ensure no child is living in emergency accommodation by 2026\; and a full and proper resourcing of the tenant in situ scheme. The union is also demanding an end to the inhumane and exploitative direct provision system\, and urgent resourcing and provision of culturally appropriate Traveller accommodation to end the discrimination which sees Travellers overrepresented in the homeless figures. The union also demands a rapid expansion of community mental health and addiction supports to address the complex harms experienced by many people forced into the homeless system.\n\nAislinn Marchant\, CATU member in Galway commented: “The crisis is playing out across the country in so many ways. Rents in Galway have rocketed 70% in 5 years – fueled in part by illegal short-term lets. Landlords flout regulations\, with just 4% of Galway’s Airbnbs having proper planning permission\, turning housing into illegal profit machines. Like so many aspects of the housing crisis\, political will is what is needed\, including proper enforcement of legislation\, a cap on short term lets\, and introducing the Short Term Tourist Letting Register.”\n\nCATU is calling for everyone\, and all community and political groups\, who are disgusted with their governments’ failure to address the housing crisis to come together on the 5th of July to support the protest.\n\nFor media enquiries please contact : Rosaleen Leonard 0894900907\n\n

However\, in order to ensure our swap is manageable on the day and can run smoothly\, we may have to reject some items.\n\nWhat we’re accepting for the swap:\n\n- All gender and gender-neutral clothes\n\n\n- Handbags\n\n\n- Shoes\n\n\n- Pride-appropriate accessories (except jewellery)\n\n\nWhat we’re NOT accepting:\n\n- Anything with rips/stains/tears/holes\n\n\n- Anything unwashed or in questionable condition\n\n\n- Jewellery\n\n\n- Kids clothes\n\n\n- Underwear\, PJ’s\, and swimwear\n\n\n- Homeware\n\n\n- Random junk from around your home!\n\n\nCan I purchase items without tokens?\n\nAbsolutely\, although we do encourage as many people as possible to take part in the ‘swap’ element. Item costs are as follows:\n\n- 1 token = €6\n\n\n- 2 tokens = €11\n\n\n- 3 tokens = €17\n\n\nWhat happens if I have unused tokens or don’t find anything I like?\n\nWhile we expect to have lots of fabulous items available\, there is a chance you might not find something that’s right for you.\n\nIf any of the items you brought are still remaining\, you are welcome to take them back at the end of the swap. However\, \n\nUnfortunately\, due to the nature of the clothes swap\, we cannot exchange unused tokens for money at the end of the swap. All remaining items will be considered a charitable donation to Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre (Charity No. 20033293).\n\nCan I donate items even if I don’t want to get tokens in return?\n\nAbsolutely\, and we really appreciate your generosity! But please remember\, we’re looking for special items and we are not a place for you to get rid of your unwanted clutter! Outhouse is a charity\, and this event is being run by our team to benefit the community. Please treat us with respect! 🙏\n\nImportant things to note:\n\n- Unsuitable items will be returned to the swapper. Please be understanding of this with our staff and volunteers.\n\n\n- Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre is a registered charity\, and this clothes swap is being organised for the benefit of the LGBTQ+ community. Anything that is left at the end of the event will be donated and proceeds will go directly towards Outhouse’s charitable mission.\n\n\nQuestions?\n\nIf you have any questions about this event or need some support\, please email Luan at luan@outhouse.ie.\n\n
